Power to choose:

We have the power, because God empowers us

Do we want to just get by, or do we want to thrive?

Average, or activated as a child of the King

Powerless Christianity or empowered to do what we were created to do

Passive, or fully possessed

Fearful or fearless

Obstinate (stubborn, determined, unmovable, headstrong) or obedient

Victim or victorious

Whiner or winner

My decisions, my choices have created my circumstances, 35,00 choices in a day, children about 3,000. These include minute choices like choosing to walk and when, to choices with life changing consequences.

Some things we don’t have a choice in:

Where we were born

Nationality

Family you were born into, rich or poor

Current age

Weather

Some things just are:

Scars

Disabilities

Physical or current situations

Even though we didn’t have any choice about these, we do have a choice about how our attitude and how my response will be from this point on.

God gave us a free will to make 99.9% of own choices.

God gave us the a free will to choose, and our power to choose is enormous: “If you” – I mentioned over 600 times in the Bible  “If you” is a choice

“Choose” over 100 times – We are faced with choices just about every minute of everyday

CHOOSE:

People that will fight for you – Ex 17:9

Life – Deut 30:19

Choose your sacrifices for the Lord Ex 10:26

Choices have consequences Lev 16:2, Is 66:3

Seek the Lord for his choice Deut 12:5 Deut 12:14

Choose who you will serve Jos 24:15

Choose to remain quiet Job 34:29

Choose God’s instruction Prov 8:10

Choose a good reputation Prov 22:1

Choose the right road Ecc 10:2

Choose to please God Is 56:4

Choose to obey the LORD Jer 38:20

Choose to listen Ez 3:37

You become a slave of whatever you choose to obey Rom 6:16

Choose to be a slave to sin, or choose to obey God Rom 6:16

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. Phil 2:13 – or basically to make the right choices

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Tim 1:7 – If we choose to tap into the power that God has given us, we can make the right choices in our heart and then walk them out in with our whole body.  Just choosing with our mind and even our heart to make right choices is all well and good, but w/o activating them in life, no real  changes have happened.

A-Z, I HAVE THE POWER TO CHOOSE TO:

Guard what comes out of my mouth, give, be grateful,

Humble myself, be happy, hope, honor others, get healthy

Intercede for others and myself, walk in integrity, intercede, intimacy level with God, my identity

Joyfully live my life, Jesus as my Savior

Know God with my heart

Love

More of God

Never give up

Obey God

Pursue purity, pray, persevere

Quiet myself before God

Relinquish my plans for Gods, respond Godly , Will you run the race God has for me

Surrender everything, sacrifice whatever, self-control

Thank and trust God in everything, thankfulness, thoughts (The man answered, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.' And, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Luke 10:27.  Three of these are inside us, our thoughts)

Use my life to bring God glory

Value others

Worship

eXamine my heart and make changes

Yoke myself to Jesus

Zealously pursue God, Jesus & Holy Spirit

WAYS TO ACTIVATE YOUR CHOICES:

* ASKING HOLY SPIRIT FOR HELP AND GIVING HIM PERMISSION EVERY DAY TO CALL ME OUT ON MY CHOICES. Keep a journal, reflecting on the choices I make

today, and changes I want to make in the future.

  • START DECLARING GOD’s WORD ON EMPOWERMENT

  • START DECLARING THE CHOICES WE WANT TO MAKE, START CHANGING OUR MINDSET.

  • Define your core values and absolutes

Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God. Mark 12:24

So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. 2 Thess 1:11

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, (becoming one with Christ, knowing Him, suffering with Him) but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Phil 3:13-14

  • What are some areas you have relinquished your power of choice?

  • What are some areas that you need to start making better choices?

* POSSIBLY DEFINE CORE VALUES AND ABSOLUTES.

James Goll’s core values are:

The best is yet to come

God is good all the time – So we must dream big

All things work together for good for those….  - Nothing is impossible

Something good is just about to happen – Everything was purchased at Calvary, so I owe Him my trust

God’s Way is not a matter of mere talk; it’s an empowered life. 1 Cor 4:20 (message)

If we [claim to] live by the [Holy] Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit [with personal integrity, godly character, and moral courage—our conduct empowered by the Holy Spirit]. Gal 5:25 (Amp)

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Rom 5:3-5 - We ARE going to experience problems and trials, and we choose how we will react.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Tim 1:7

Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. Luke 10:19.– If
